Narrative description of Project:
· To develop the three sessions according to the format agreed between Practical Action and the Knowledge Links
· To Produce a draft report and get comments from the Reducing / Vulnerability Team of the Practical Action
· To Incorporate all the comments as appropriate to the final draft of sessions
Advise the Reducing Vulnerability team of Practical Action on the coherence and applicability of other sessions included in the DDRM training manual
Description of actual services provided by your staff within the assignment:
· Development planning and disaster management linkages at decentralized levels
· Hazard mapping – tools / various approaches for hazard mapping, integration of indigenous knowledge and scientific methods a t local level
Vulnerability assessment at village, community and household level using CRA, PVA etc. with a special attention focused to application at the decentralized level and structural and non-structural issues of vulnerability
