Narrative Description of Project:

Preparation of Training Module for the Capacity Building of Village Water & Sanitation Committee (VWSC) and Conduct Onlline Training for the Staff Involved in Implementation of Activities under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) in Uttar Pradesh's 11 Districts (Prayagraj, Kaushambi, Mirzapur, Sonbhadra, Chitrakoot, Banda, Mahoba, Hamirpur, Jalaun, Jhansi and Lalitpur).

Description of Actual services provided by the staff:

·      Develop 8 training modules for the capacity building of VWSC

·      JJM and the roles and responsibilities of VWSC members

·      Book keeping and financial management

·      Solid and Liquid Waste Management (SLWM), including Grey Water management

·      Community - Leave No One Behind (CLNOB)

·      Community – Led Action for Sanitary Surveillance (CLASS) and ensuring water quality

·      Source and water supply system sustainability

·      Operation and Maintenance (O&M)

·      Sustainability – technical, institutional, financial, social and environmental

·      Carrying out virtual training for the capacity building of 13 Community Development Consultants (CDCs) on 8 modules.

·      Providing individual virtual support and mentorship to the  13 CDCs through online channels and telephone calls
