Narrative Description of Project:
Two 5-days Community Led Total Sanitation (CLTS) Refresher Trainings at Svay Rieng and Takeo provinces and
A 3-days Write-shop at Phnom Penh with select participants from the two earlier conducted workshops for Cambodia Rural Sanitation and Hygiene Improvement Programme (CR-SHIP)
Description of Actual services provided by the staff
The schedule of 5-day CLTS workshops focused on skill development through hands-on learning in the field, which included half-day visits to trigger and follow up communities on 3 days
The workshops were successful in strengthening both triggering and post-triggering follow-up skills through hands-on practice in the field.
Role plays on ‘attitude and behaviour’ showing different (tough top-down, top-down, friendly and participatory) styles of facilitation helped participants understand the relevance and advantages of participatory facilitation style through experiential learning
The Write-shop engaged participants in producing contextualized process charts depicting pre, during and post-triggering processes that are tailor-made to the needs of the programme in the country context of Cambodia.
