Mobilisation of civil society groups, developing a city wide sanitation campaign and strategy and ensuring its effective implementation ; capacity development of municipal staff, NGOs, CSOs and CBOs involved; technical assistance for streamlining institutional arrangements; monitoring, review, and evaluation including social audit; knowledge management

Description of Actual services provided by the staff

·      Participatory situational assessment

·      Consultative meetings with different stakeholder groups including: AMC; NGOs; Residence Welfare Associations (RWAs); Industrial establishments; hospitals; market associations; youth; housewives; senior citizens; rag-pickers and others

·      Inception workshop at the zonal level for triggering elected representatives and different citizen groups

·      3 days Strategic planning workshop

·      5 days training and capacity building training

·      Streamlining segregation at source on the demand side and collection, transportation of waste in a segregated manner to decentralized disposal sites on the supply side followed by their segregated disposal
