Media

Media Division of Knowledge Links, was started in 2004 to produce quality audio-visual documentation of Knowledge Links’ work in the development domain.

Since its inception, the division has produced several documentary films both in the development sector and in the field of literature. KL has an in-house team of filmmakers, scriptwriters, editor and camera person. We have made films and videos with financial support from, UNICEF Lucknow, UNICEF Raipur, Kendriya Hindi Sansthan, Agra and Institute of Development Studies (IDS), Sussex, United Kingdom.

KL has a full-fledged media division with an in-house capacity of writing script, directing, shooting, and editing films and videos. Our in-house team of domain experts and the consultants on its panel contribute to scriptwriting and developing the storyline. KL specialises in training and educative videos as well.

We have a strong team of in-house professionals in media. This has helped us make videos on different aspects of CLTS, which are used extensively during training and orientation events not only in India but globally.

We have made a couple of interesting films on participation, people and PRA with Robert Chambers, the pioneer of participatory methodologies in general and PRA in particular. One of them is titled ‘People and Change’ and the other is on PRA.

We have made films on literary legends in Hindi and Urdu such as Mahadevi Varma and Nazeer Akbarabadi, for Kendriya Hindi Sansthan, Agra. Our films have travelled to the Cannes Film Festival, the Mecca of cinema.
